How to connect bank accounts to Uelt securely
Open Banking explained simply: how the connection works, what data you share, and why your credentials never pass through us.
Connecting accounts to Uelt means always having up-to-date data without manual entry. Here's how it works and why it's secure.
What is Open Banking?
Open Banking (PSD2) is a European directive that lets banks share data with authorized services, with your consent. Uelt uses certified partners who manage the connection securely.
What do you share with Uelt?
- **Balance and transactions**: to calculate net worth and categorize spending
- **No credentials**: your bank passwords are never sent to Uelt. The flow goes through the bank or provider, which generates secure tokens
How does the connection work?
1. Select your bank from the list 2. You're redirected to the bank's (or provider's) site 3. Log in with your bank credentials 4. Authorize read-only access to the accounts you choose 5. Uelt receives only the necessary data via secure APIs
Is your data safe?
Yes. Uelt uses standard encryption for data at rest and in transit. We never sell or share your financial data with third parties. You can revoke access anytime in settings.
